Brad Pitt is a Basterd- Inglorious Basterds- A Short Review

Quentin Tarantino said he wanted to make a Jewish revenge film against Hitler, that movie is Inglorious Basterds.

In this movie Nazi occupy France. A young Jewish girl named Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses her family get killed by one of the Nazi's high command- Col. Hans Landa played brilliantly by Christoph Waltz. Four years later she plots her revenge when a young German soldier who is famous for killing over 200 U.S. troops takes an interest in Shosanna and arranges the premiere of his movie at the theater Shosanna now owns. The "Basterds" were the main selling point of this film especially Brad Pitt AKA Lt. Aldo Raine. They weren't in the film all that much, which was disappointing. But when they were on screen, there were no dull moments. My favorite character was Aldo, but a close second had to be Sgt. Donny Donowitz AKA The Bear Jew played by Eli Roth. One scene featuring Ronny was him beating the crap out of a Nazi commander with a baseball bat.

The film is not for someone with a weak stomach. There is plenty of blood, especially when the Basterds scalp all the Nazis they kill.

Don't go into this film thinking about how events in history went, because this film is an alternate reality, its like Tarantino said- A jewish revenge film. Some parts do get dull, but Quentin Tarantino is known for making his movies with long conversations referring back to old movie references that he liked.

Overall I give this film an A- , because it was entertaining, but some parts were just to dull for me.
